A broken washer stops the whole house

Washer not draining, not spinning or stuck with the door locked? We repair top load and front load washers of every major brand in homes across Tampa Bay, with a flat quote before any work and a 90 day parts and labor warranty. Call (813) 822-5910.

A dead washer is not dramatic like a flooded kitchen, but it quietly wrecks the household routine until someone fixes it. We treat washer calls with the same urgency as any other breakdown: we come out the same day, diagnose the whole machine instead of only the symptom you called about, and include free maintenance with every washer repair.

What we check on every washer call

Plenty of repair visits go like this: look at the obvious symptom, replace the most likely part, leave. If that guess was wrong, you find out two weeks later. Our technician works through the whole machine instead:

  • Stored error codes and a test cycle
  • Water pressure at the inlet valves
  • Motor load and the motor control board
  • Drum, tub bearings and suspension
  • The drain path from the pump filter to the standpipe

You may call about a lid switch and we may also find a drain pump filter that is mostly blocked and close to failing. You get the full picture and decide what to fix. That is why we rarely go back to the same machine for the same problem.

Common washer problems and their usual causes

What it is doingWhat we usually find
Will not drainA clogged pump filter, a failed drain pump, or a kinked drain hose
Will not spinA lid switch or door lock fault, a worn belt or coupler, or a motor control problem
Door stays lockedA failed door lock assembly, or water still in the tub because it cannot drain
LeakingA torn door boot seal on a front loader, a loose hose, or a cracked pump housing
Loud grinding or roaring on spinWorn tub bearings, or something caught between the drum and the tub
Musty smellMold in the door boot seal and drain path, common on front loaders in Florida humidity

Starting prices

RepairTotal
Washer will not drain, drain pumpfrom $250

Washer repair questions

What washer failures do you see most?
On top load washers, drain pumps and lid switches. On front load washers, moldy or torn door boot seals and worn drum bearings. None of these is a disaster, and most are fixed on the first visit when they are caught early.
Is my washer worth repairing?
A washer under about 8 years old with one failed part is almost always worth fixing. Past 12 years with a failed bearing or drive motor, it becomes a real decision, and the technician gives you the repair price and a straight opinion on whether it makes sense.
Why does my fairly new washer already need repairs?
High efficiency washers from the last several years use more electronics and tighter tolerances than older machines. Control boards, sensors, inlet valves and bearings failing on a machine under five years old is not unusual.
Can you tell if my model has a known problem?
Yes. The technician can look up service bulletins for your model and serial number. Some repeat failures are documented by the manufacturer even without a public recall, which helps when you are deciding whether to repair or replace.
What does the service call cost?
$99 for homes and $125 for commercial units. It covers the visit and the diagnosis, and it is credited toward the repair when you approve it.
