Report by Sam Ralin, owner and senior technician

The drain pump was replaced.
What to check before calling
- On a front loader, drain the water through the small hose behind the bottom panel and clean the pump filter.
- Make sure the drain hose is not kinked behind the washer.
- Check that the standpipe or laundry sink is not backed up.
If the filter is clean and the hose is clear, the pump is the usual cause.
