- Undercounter ice machine leaking
- Found
- The water pump was leaking
- Outcome
- Replaced the water pump with its sensor service kit
Report by Sam Ralin, owner and senior technician

The owner of a JennAir undercounter ice machine had tried to troubleshoot a leak on his own before calling. The technician found the source: the machine's water pump was leaking.
The pump was replaced with the pump and sensor service kit made for that model, which restores both the pump and the sensor that tells the machine the water level.
Before you call about a leaking ice machine
- Check that the drain hose is not kinked and the drain is not backed up.
- Make sure the machine is level, front to back and side to side.
- Look for ice jammed against the door, which can push meltwater out.
If water still collects, the pump, a fitting or the water valve needs a technician.
