Check the plug before you call
That August call is a good reminder. If the whole range is dead, oven and burners together, check the breaker and make sure the range plug is pushed fully into the wall outlet. Ranges get bumped when the floor is cleaned or the range is pulled out, and a half seated plug kills everything.
