Recent LG repairs
- January, Lutz: LG washer leaking while running. The door boot, the rubber seal around the door opening, needed replacing.
- June, Lutz: LG washer grinding while the drum turned. The drum bearings and motor related parts had worn out, and the suspension no longer supported the tub. The fix was the bearing assembly and related parts plus a complete suspension.
- September, South Tampa: LG dryer not heating. The cause was the outlet and breaker, not the dryer.
- October, Sarasota: LG WT1001CW washer that had shown an OE drain error. At the visit it drained normally and the pump worked. Because the pump may fail only under load, replacing it was recommended as a precaution, and the owner chose to wait.
Front load washer care for LG owners
- Leave the door and the detergent drawer open between loads so the seal can dry.
- Wipe the door boot fold after the last load of the day, and check it for socks and coins.
- Use only HE detergent, and less than the cap suggests. Too much suds is a common cause of leaks and drain errors.
- Run the Tub Clean cycle once a month.
